Director of Business Development - Germany

Translations.com has an immediate need for a true salesperson to join its team. He/She must be driven and experienced in selling a service, with a track record of identifying new business opportunities and turning them into successful, lucrative, long-term client relationships.

A Business Development Director's primary responsibility is to assume overall responsibility for sales, profitability, and client satisfaction in support of strategic sales goals.

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Meet with prospects/clients and deliver sales presentations. Create customized project proposals and cost estimates. Negotiate and close deals. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction
    • Aggressively pursue new business opportunities with prospective as well as existing clients
    • Work closely and in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager during the creation of project proposals and project launches
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in vertical markets; look for new ways to grow business within vertical markets
    • Develop and implement sales initiatives
    • Achieve sales quota in order to meet and exceed established minimum
    • Provide open, clear two-way communication at all corporate and client levels to ensure alignment with strategic sales goals
  • Qualifications include:
    • Superior written and spoken communication skills
    • Bachelor's Degree (or its equivalent) or higher
    • Knowledge of the Internet and related technologies
    • Willingness to learn new things, be open to challenges, and thrive on success
