Translation Memory

GlobalLink Project Director is a solution that allows EPiServer users to utilize translation memory (TM) assets directly within the EPiServer environment. Through integration with the optional GlobalLink TM Server module, previously translated content can be leveraged, leaving only added or changed content for the translator to work on. GlobalLink TM Server is a tool that stores previously translated content as the translator works, allowing clients to re-use content where appropriate. The use of TM accelerates turnaround time, helps to maintain brand consistency in terminology and style, and significantly reduces costs.

Seamless Integration

Business users can initiate translation workflows in GlobalLink without having to leave the EPiServer user interface. The adaptor provides a Translation Project Creation Wizard to create a Globallink Translation Project for a page, a node and any child nodes and/or pages. Upon retrieval, translated pages can be configured to be automatically imported into the EPiServer site tree and published. Within EPiServer, the user can access reports of which pages were submitted, see their current status and access translation history for each individual page.

Automatic Scheduling

The administrator can configure the translation scheduler service to run on EPiServer on a pre-defined schedule, sending and retrieving translation projects as well as updating status for each project as it moves through the translation process.

Change Detection

GlobalLink integration with EPiServer offers users the ability to easily identify and route new or changed content for translation for any chosen language pair, avoiding accidentally sending already translated pages twice. This feature allows clients to automatically keep their translated sites in sync with the source.
