Hotel Leader Presented to Hundreds of Attendees at Last Week's Interwoven GearUp '05 Europe Conference on "How to Select, Design and Build a Global Content Management System for Business Success"

SUNNYVALE, California and NEW YORK, New York, October 24, 2005 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, and its partner Translations.com, the leading provider of language support solutions for business, today announced that joint customer Hilton International is achieving global e-commerce success through the combination of Interwoven's industry-leading Web Content Management (WCM) solution and Translations.com's GlobalLink enterprise language solution. The hotel leader presented its business success story last Thursday at the Interwoven GearUp '05 Europe conference in London during a session entitled, "How to Select, Design and Build a Global Content Management System for Business Success." With the tightly-integrated Interwoven and Translations.com solutions, Hilton International has been able to seamlessly and effectively build a direct channel e-commerce initiative for key European and Asian markets. The effort resulted in the creation of eight localized Web Sites representing seven different languages.

Last week's Interwoven GearUp '05 Europe 'ECM Solutions Conference' in London (October 19-20, 2005) was a highly successful event, attracting hundreds of Interwoven customers from across Europe; premier partner sponsors including Microsoft, Sun, Accenture, and others; and presentations from other leading Interwoven customers such as BT, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Adidas, Lloyds TSB Bank, and more. Hilton International operates over 400 hotels across Europe and Asia including 260 Hilton-branded hotels as well as an additional 140 Scandic properties. In 2002, Hilton International outlined an aggressive e-commerce strategy to build a series of Web sites for its largest markets including the UK, Germany, and Japan. As part of this initiative, local language Web sites were also to be developed for the Hilton-owned Scandic brand hotels across the key Scandinavian countries and Finland.

The company was faced with a number of challenges in implementing this new e-commerce strategy. The project required the translation and editing of more than 4.5 million words of content and over 25,000 individual content files. Additionally, Hilton International had to ensure that a smooth and seamless process was put in place for Web content contributors from around the world to submit, edit, and maintain content. The over-arching operational objective for Hilton International was to empower local hotel properties to directly contribute to and maintain their new localized sites, while still preserving a consistent Hilton International look and feel across all the sites.

To address these challenges, Hilton International implemented the Interwoven WCM solution-powered by Interwoven Teamsite software-to establish a common platform for business users around the world to seamlessly contribute and maintain localized Web content; this was in combination with Translations.com's GlobalLink enterprise language solution to support the translation of content across seven different languages. Fully integrated, the Interwoven and Translations.com solutions provided Hilton International with a comprehensive global content solution they could put in place immediately to accomplish their aggressive e-commerce initiatives.

Ongoing maintenance of the new Web sites, including time-sensitive promotional content, as well as the content for online reservation applications, is managed through integrated workflows provided by the combined Interwoven and Translations.com solution. Now, Web content contributors in any Hilton International location can directly and seamlessly contribute content to localized sites that are consistent in the Hilton look and feel and support corporate messaging and branding. By empowering business users across locations with direct control, Hilton International is also helping to ensure that localized marketing initiatives can be deployed much more rapidly for increased competitive advantage.
