In order to create an automated workflow process while simultaneously ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness in all content and in multiple languages, CHEP will implement several applications from Translations.com's GlobalLink product suite:

  • GlobalLink Project Director - A hosted Globalization Management System (GMS) that automates tasks in an organization's translation workflow at the enterprise level
  • GlobalLink TM Server - A server-based translation memory application that allows previously translated material to be leveraged and shared in real-time by all content stakeholders
  • GlobalLink Translator Studio - A flexible desktop translation environment that allows translators from dispersed locations to collaborate and leverage from either local or server-based translation memory assets

These GlobalLink products will work together to create a customized, automated system that will be utilized by different language service providers (LSPs) serving CHEP's global requirements.

According to Carey A. Sealy, Director of Global Application Development, Information Systems at CHEP, "We needed to engage a solution provider that could partner with us to perform high quality translations in both a time and cost efficient manner and that is what we have found with Translations.com."

CHEP Portfolio+Plus, which helps customers track pallets through their supply chains, will be the first of many applications the company is producing with the help of Translations.com's technology.

Phil Shawe, CEO of Translations.com, noted "We are pleased to be providing technology that will enable CHEP to conduct their international business more efficiently. We look forward to a successful ongoing relationship."
